Who Am I?

A lot of us believe that in order to be useful we have to have lofty goals in the form of social ladder climbing and bonuses and promotions. These events and carrots are indicators that you’re doing something with your life? Right? Maybe, maybe not.

The blueprint to your ideal/perfect life are your desires, and dreams. Not what you wish you could do, the things you already do. Not the activities or goals you say you will accomplish with the New Year’s, but the stuff you do without prompting.

Without any prompting I found myself always being drawn to the lives and works of creative people. I love to help, I love to connect.

My name is Fikriyyah George. Armed with a degree in Journalism from SUNY New Paltz, I’m a budding PR professional. My skills include WordPress, blogging, and using social media. I’m currently searching for a position to greater develop my knowledge in media relations, pitching and media databases such as Cision and Vocus.

I write fiction and am currently working on my first novel entitled “The Eldest, The Wisest and the Wildest.” You can read an excerpt here.
